Each year, we lose some good outdoor art in Winnipeg. For the year indicated, here's a
last look at, a last goodbye to some of the artwork that has disappeared that year.
Portage Avenue & Smith Street
This traffic controller box was one of several sponsored by Take Pride Winnipeg along the North side pf Portage Avenue. The artwork is by Tom Andrich in 2002- the box went on the street in 2003. The scene represented the driving of the Last Spike in the coast to coast Canadian Railway. The box was damaged in a collision and was removed from the street in 2011.
