Each year, we lose some good outdoor art in Winnipeg. For the year indicated, here's a last look at, a last goodbye to some of the artwork that has disappeared that year.

   The artwork for this transit controller box was by Tom Andrich in 2005, with sponsorship by Take Pride Winnipeg. The Transit box was replaced in 2013.

Tom Andrich: "Hudson's Bay represented the fur trade and I was trying to represent the fur trade because that's how Manitoba came to be what it was. I put a Hudson's Bay blankets in there, a big Beaver and the hats that were made from Beaver pelts. The fur trade was huge, and these crazy fashionable hats, you wouldn't think that these silly hats would create a whole province. But that's the way history is a lot of times."
