Each year, we lose some good outdoor art in Winnipeg. For the year indicated, here's a last look at, a last goodbye to some of the artwork that has disappeared that year.

This artwork was done in 1998 by The Big Picture (Ken Stampnick, Jody McLean, Shaun Thompson and Bailey Stampnick) and Charlie Johnston. It was removed/painted over in 2006.

Original notes follow:

   Charlie Johnston: "I worked on that whole project with Ken Stampnick. I was the only one of the group that had done anything that big. I had the idea of doing the imagery on panels instead of on the eroding walls so I made panels of all the designs, and then they were painted as a group. I did the cheerleader on the floor in the studio from a photo reference."

"I did the lettering at the top on a frigid frosty wind blowing the whole night, the day before an opening game."
