Each year, we lose some good outdoor art in Winnipeg. For the year indicated, here's a last look at, a last goodbye to some of the artwork that has disappeared that year.

Wellington Crescent & CN Overpass

Rendered by Paul Ullrich in 1996, with sponsorship by Take Pride Winnipeg. It was lost in 2007 when the bridge underwent renovations.

Original Notes follow:

Paul Ullrich “This was a very difficult wall to work on. It was porous and there were large cracks in it. When it rained, the moisture would seep right through.”

“This was also the only one of my Murals that got vandalized. One week after I was finished, I received a call from Deanna Walters from Take Pride Winnipeg that the wall had been vandalized and if I could go out that day and ‘fix it’ but I couldn’t as we were leaving on vacation that morning. I did make it out to the wall though to see what had been done. Someone had sprayed ‘Zoos are prisons for animals’: I just about got sick when I saw it. Members of the Green Team were able to make it out in short order and repair the damage.”
