Main Street at Higgins underpass (1)

This artwork was done in 1996 by Michael Wright; and was 1 of 15 distinct renderings of aboriginal artwork for this underpass- a project headed up by Jacques St. Godard. All of the artwork was lost when the underpass walls were resurfaced in 2008. Approximately 32 pieces of new artwork were installed here in the fall of 2008.
The sponsors of the original 1996 project were: Take Pride Winnipeg, General Paint, Amercoat Canada, Palliser Furniture, Wyatt Rentals, Winnipeg Aboriginal Management Board, Cantel, and Unisource.
